He discovered online poker while getting his degree, and managed to turn a $50 deposit into over $40,000 while playing casually throughout college. After a few years in the 'real world' working as a consultant, he decided that it wasn’t for him and left his job to play poker and stream on Twitch/YouTube. Ryan was crushing small stakes for several years while streaming on Twitch before his professional poker career took off. He met the rest of the PWR team while offering 1-on-1 poker coaching, and created this study group to level up faster. Within a year, he went from 100z to 500NL +. These days, Ryan plays at the 1k-10kNL stakes and is one of the biggest winners in his pool.

In 2011, GC graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Accounting and Financial Management. He then got a job as an analyst at one of the biggest wealth management firms in the world. While working in 2012, he was introduced to poker by stumbling across a High Stakes Poker episode on TV. This then led to him creating a pokerstars account in 2012 and hopping into the 10NL streets where he was a casual breakeven player until 2016. GC started to take a more serious approach to poker by studying with other players in his pool which is where he met Ryan, Connor and Andrew. They formulated a study group that propelled GC to move from 100NL to 1kNL in less than a year's time. In 2018, he made the decision to quit his job in finance and to make the jump to becoming a professional poker player. Nowadays, albeit being one of the lower volume grinders among pros, GC is likely one of the highest win rate regs in the world.
